My practice includes Estate Planning, Estate administration, Estate Litigation, and Business and Commercial Litigation, Corporate Law. I am a mediator. For over forty-three years, I have represented privately held businesses and individuals in estate, litigation and transactional matters. I have organized and have represented for more than 34 years a corporation created under the Federal Risk Retention Act of 1986. It provides excess liability insurance to more than sixty cities, counties and governmental entities throughout the United States.
I have:
1) Represented executives and companies in negotiating and litigating employment agreements, severance agreements and covenants not to compete.
2) Negotiated and litigated business disputes among shareholders and represented both purchasers and sellers in the sale of businesses valued up to $50 million.
3) Negotiated and litigated estate disputes and representation of families in their estate planning, with particular emphasis on succession planning and special circumstances.
I am a member of the American Bar Association (Tax, Corporate Law and Litigation Sections), the Atlanta Estate Planning Council, and the State Bar of Georgia.
I am admitted to practice before the Georgia Court of Appeals, Georgia Supreme Court, U.S. District Court (Northern District of Georgia), Eleventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
